Art Cologne: Deutsche Bank Supports Presentation of Young Art in NEW CONTEMPORARIES Sector

At the 49th ART COLOGNE, around 200 international galleries are providing a high-quality overview of twentieth- and twenty-first-century art. On three hall levels, the participants are offering Classic Modernist, postwar, and contemporary art. NEW CONTEMPORARIES, the sector for young galleries, promises exciting discoveries again this year. Participants from Europe, North America, and Asia will present sensational and fresh positions. Deutsche Bank is a partner of NEW CONTEMPORARIES for the first time.

Since its founding, ART COLOGNE has viewed itself as a showplace for progressive art. With the introduction of NEW CONTEMPORARIES at the end of the 1990s, it was the first fair of its kind to establish a separate section for young galleries not in existence for more than ten years. This year, 29 participants selected by the advisory council are presenting their perspectives on the current state of art in Hall 11.3, from painting and photography to sculpture, film, and performances.

As a new partner, Deutsche Bank is supporting the NEW CONTEMPORARIES program with a special model that benefits the galleries and artists. During the fair, the bank will purchase current international drawings and photographs. In addition, the Deutsche Bank Collection and its global commitment to art will be showcased in the newly designed VIP area of the fair.
